Owner and Manager - Tim comes from a military background with time spent in the Aussie Army, security management in the lovely desert sands of Iraq and the Middle East and more recently managing potential crises at more than one Olympic Games. That's one way to travel! Spending time on Koh Tao as a hideaway from his ‘normal life’ he eventually just gave in and stayed on the rock. To keep his mind (and body) active he decided to start his own business, combine this with much bar talk with Charly and Jeff..... Goodtime Adventures was born. |

Marketing guru - Charly just loves to be creative and jumped on the opportunity to design everything that is Goodtime, from the website to the t-shirts. Hailing from the West Country she maintains the tempo and excitement levels in the shop. After climbing every tree within site as a child and having a marine biology degree is only natural that she would end up on Tao and be part of Goodtimes creation. |

Bart also has a military background in the British Army working with small craft and boats. After leaving Koh Tao for greener pastures he relaised is was actually greener here and has come home to get back into the action. Bart loves to cliff jump as it reminds him of skydiving so any time we are not training him up on the rocks he is jumping into the warm seas! |
 |  Joe Joe just loves being in or on the water. He works as our primary dive master and when he ends up competely waterlogged from hours on end under the sea he gets to drive around on our boat. Joe is from New York State and has been exploring the world for a few years at the behest of the US Navy. He is firmly planted on Koh Tao and brings a big smile and enthusiasm to every trip! |
 |  Derry Derry is the new additon for 2010 to the Good Time Team and is focused primarily as our Rock Climbing Instructor. The Kiwi in him and his love of the outdoors led to an Outdoor Education and Adventure Recreation degree and also gaining a number of rock climbing quals. He brings a great deal of enthusiam and professionalism to the climbing side of things as well as always being on the never ending lookout for that 'one great trad line' ...and he can even laugh at the odd sheep joke aimed his way. |

EXPERIENCE AND SAFETY Staff at ‘Good Time Adventures’ come from varying nationalities and backgrounds, however the one thing we do all have in common is that we are either dive professionals or qualifed climbing instructors. All staff members must maintain a broad experience range to be suitable for employment across the spectrum of our activities and adventures. Management maintains a broad range of skills from the Australian Special Forces in not only physical skills but operational planning, emergency response, crisis and risk management and search and rescue. Our lead climbing instructor has extensive experience in all facets of climbing from a young age across many continents, whilst other staff maintains climbing experience from their parent countries and additional experience from working on the Koh Tao granite. Our staff also includes experienced PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainers, Coxswains, small boat handling and ocean sailing, children’s adventure camp leaders, Marine Biologists and many other qualifications and skills picked up along the way to Good Time Adventures. We maintain a high standard in everything we do as we believe quality and experience matters to our customers. As dive professionals, we are all teachers in Emergency First Response and basic first aid. In addition specific staff members are also trained in, Australian and UK Military Combat Medics, Military Survival and specific diving related treatment including administration of O2. Our emergency procedures are designed with military planning and we have two medical clinic’s on Koh Tao with experience in handling diving emergencies along with limited trauma treatment. Koh Samui maintains a number of excellent hospitals and our insurance allows for a speed boat transfer in case of emergencies. Our climbing island is 100% granite and as such the bolting procedures on Koh Tao are different to the limestone elsewhere. We do not use glue in bolts, substandard concrete bolts or slings. We use PETZL 12mm climbing bolts and hangers on solid tested granite. We maintain 3 point top rope anchors and every single bolt date is recorded on a database and checked yearly. Our equipment is checked periodically and ropes especially are constantly being replaced to ensure maximum safety along with carabineers that become worn due to the harsh environments and all other safety related equipment. |
